I challenged her to escape from the kingdom
I tied her up with chains of tyranny
And said to her: I challenge you to escape
I muffled her with tissue of my proud heart
And said to her: I challenge you to scream for help
Or to electrify this silence with your thunder
I threw her on the pavements of my heart
On a stormy night
And said: Don't approach the fire
And never shiver in the fist of cold
And never shed your blood on the pavements
I challenged her to roam in the heart of the allies
And to descend the side stairs
To hide in a corner
Under a bridge that is full of spider webs
Leaving behind her a trace of footprints
Like a face looking at you on a silent winter's night
Behind window panes and a curtain of rain
Pulling you down into a deep abyss
To accompany the devils of this smudged life
For ever
I challenged her to escape
Even for a fleeting moment
I closed all the exits in my false castle
I dozed a few minutes and dreamed
I saw
I screamed
And when I woke up
I saw the devils laughing in every house
I knew that my fortress had collapsed
And that the deer had escaped
From the jungle that was guarded by two lions
And escaped on my cheek
A teardrop!
